Bocuse D’Or 2017: follow the action here

Bocuse D'Or 2017 Final Lyone

On January 24th and 25th, 24 chefs from around the globe will compete in the final chapter of the Bocuse d'Or finale 2017, with S.Pellegrino as a proud partner. For two days, the most promising chefs in the world will give their best in the hope of winning the greatest trophy in gastronomy, a title all the more coveted this year as the world biennial contest celebrates its 30th anniversary.

This year’s final will see competitors, including James Olberg from Coast Restaurant in Vancouver, prepare a dish composed exclusively of fruit, vegetables, cereals, seeds or legumes, in addition to a themed dish, chicken with crayfish, paying tribute to the first ever Bocuse d'Or.

The competition will take place as part of Sirha, the cutting-edge biannual international hotel and catering industry trade fair that runs from January 21st to the 25th in Lyon, France. For five days, Eurexpo in Lyon will become the gastronomic hub of the world, attracting 180,000 visitors, 20,000 chefs and 3,000 exhibitors from 135 countries.

S.Pellegrino is the official water of the 2017 edition of Bocuse D'Or and will be welcoming visitors to Sirah with a dedicated S.Pellegrino stand. The stand will be hosting lively talks as well as interesting discussions, plus presentations by key chefs and industry players including S.Pellegrino Young Chef mentor and 3 Michelin-starred Yannick Alleno, along with S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 French finalist, Shintara Awa.

On January 21st, S.Pellegrino will also be a proud partner of the Grande tablée in Lyon, a long table dining event held in the Croix Rousse tunnel where 50 Michelin-starred chefs, including Nicolas Ablaoui, Emmanuel Renaut and Mathieu Viannay, will concoct their best recipes for 3,400 guests. The event takes place as part of BIG, the International Biennale of Taste.
