It’s festival time! In the streets and parks and on river banks, people are celebrating art, music, the summer and great food.

Spoleto, all over the city
Festival dei Due Mondi
Until 12 July 2015

Two weeks dedicated to culture in all its many forms: music, theatre, dance and visual arts. Worthy of note: the Danslespas de Noureev, produced by the Ballet du Capitole of Toulouse exclusively for the Festival dei due Mondi: a collection of original Rudolf Nureyev choreography. The Festival closes on 12 July with the usual outdoor concert, in the splendid Piazza Duomo. London, banks of the River Thames
Live in Italian, Live from London!
3-4 July 2015

A pop-up restaurant by S.Pellegrino that will bring a taste of Italy to the banks of the Thames River. With two Michelin-starred chefs for the dinners: Theo Randall of Theo Randall at The Intercontinental and Phil Howard of The Square. And for a more casual fine dining experience both days you can enjoy lunch with up-and-coming British chef Chris Denney.  More info:

Montreux Jazz Festival
3-18 July 2015

One of the world’s most prestigious musical and cultural events since 1967. Today it hosts concerts ranging from jazz to rock to Brazilian beats to DJ sessions. Loads of free events. More info:


London, The Royal Academy of Arts
Joseph Cornell: Wanderlust
4 July – 7 September

Joseph Cornell was a completely self-taught artist, often described as an outsider in the New York art scene despite being very close to surrealists and abstract expressionists. The exhibit was organised by the London Royal Academy of Arts in collaboration with the Vienna Kunst Historisches Museum where it will remain open, after London, until 20 October 2015. More info:


Brisbane, all over the city
The Brisbane Times Good Food Month
9 July - 9 August 2015

Australia’s biggest food and wine festival of the entire year hits five different cities (Sidney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth). In July the Festival comes to Brisbane: once again this year, for 12 nights you can take part in the Night Noodle Markets, dedicated to Asian-inspired cuisine, where you can choose from among 100 tasty dishes to try. Indian Summer
9-18 July 9th 2015

This festival is produced by the Indian Summer Arts Society and welcomes major Canadian and South Asian artists. It features events involving various forms of art inspiring global dialogue and citizenship. More info:


Los Angeles, The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Step and Repeat
17-19 July 2015

The annual live performance event at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Three days of music, performance art, comedy, poetry and dance, along with DJ sets, food trucks and special installations. On stage, the works of some of the most exuberant and experimental artists working today, especially in the Los Angeles community. More info:


Tokyo, Sumida River
