A highlight of The Year of Italian Culture in the U.S.A 2013 included a gala dinner that took place on September 30th at the Reggia di Colorno, residence of the ALMA culinary school. 

For the occasion, seven young American chefs, who received scholarships through the project “Come to Italy with US” sponsored in part by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, cooked a very Italian dinner. The menu was based on iconic Italian ingredients—eggplant, pumpkin, zucchini blossoms, meat, milk, grapes and, of course, tomato.
