Vancouver International Fringe Festival

There is no panel of judges at the Vancouver Fringe Festival and the acts staged are randomly extracted, so there is no way of knowing beforehand what type of theatre performance you are actually going to watch! Four days dedicated to cheese from all over the world. Cheese is an event put on by the Slowfood Association and open to the general public. It takes place in the streets of Bra, in Pindemont; here, hundreds of stalls display some of the most outstanding Italian and international cheese products. Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated every year on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. Second only to the New Year festivities, this is China’s most important national celebration. In Beijing and in all other Chinese cities, the festivities take place in the open air, possibly close to a stretch of water reflecting the moon. New York - The Metropolitan Museum of Art

The exhibition will be showing 100 years of West African portrait photography, from 1870 to 1970. The collection of original photographs, postcards and negatives comes from the studios of amateur and professional photographers operating in the areas from Senegal to Cameroon and from Mali to Gabon.
